Ñahuimpuquio Lagoon
Its name come from a word in Quechua that means "source of water". It is located
11 kilometers far away from Huancayo in Ahuac district near Chupaca.
This lagoon has a wild fauna. Its water is comparable to a huge mirror that
is near 7 hectares.
On its surface there is a kind of plant that is known by people from the zone
as Pulichampa and create small islands that can resist a person's weight.
Next to Ñahuimpuquio lagoon there is a hill in which you can appreciate the
Arhuaturo archaeological bed.
Some stories say that this lagoon is connected to Paca lagoon.
