Conjunto Arqueológico de Arhuaturo

Built approximately in 1200 BC
Location: It is located near a hill to the west of
Ñahuimpuquio Lagoon in Ahuac, 15 kilometers far away from Huancayo.
Arhuaturo is a Quechua word that means "burned bone"
Arhuaturo is formed by 27 constructions divided in:
'Arhuaturo': It has 16 constructions
'Huinsho': It has 11 constructions, and
'Religious Barrio and guard place'.
They were built at Huanca's style
They were kullpas (constructions that were used to store food and oblations
to Incas), these Kullpas were especially designed to keep food always
fresh and dry.
They were four cornered structures at Huanca's style, and
were built approximately 1200 years A.C.
Mantaro Valley
Since this place it is posible to see the magnificence of all the valley and
Huaytapallana snowmountains.
